South Elgin broke open a tied game at halftime by keeping the Glenbard South offense off the field for more than 12 minutes. The Storm recovered three straight onside kicks and converted each into second-half touchdowns to take a 49-27 Upstate Eight Conference football victory in front of more than 4,000 fans in Glen Ellyn.

Big play comes Glenbard East’s way just in time to beat Glenbard South

The Glenbard East football team endured nearly 47 minutes of bad luck Friday in its cross-district showdown with Glenbard South, turning the ball over four times. But the Rams got the big play when they needed it, on a 62-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Dillon Williams to senior wideout Yassin Nabil with 1:07 to go.

Stifling defense and just enough offense. Those ingredients produced an 18-0 win for Larkin over intracity rival Elgin in Upstate Eight Conference action at Memorial Stadium Friday night.
